Hola mis amigos
Today I bring to you a new Guest, Raquel from Stockholm. She has a wonderful nail art, ( which made hard for me the task of choosing the pics for this post...haha) And I hope you can get inspired from her too :)
1-Talk a little about yourself ( or name, who are you, where
you live, what you do etc)
My name is Raquel and my Instagram name is marionbcn. I am
originally from Barcelona in Spain, and moved to Sweden back in 2007, I live in
the capital of Sweden, Stockholm. I am 36 years old, born august 1978, and im
married to kenneth whom I have been
together for 8 years now.
I work as a front desk agent in a boutique hotel in
Stockholm. I have a lovely 6 years old kitty named Juno, and I love to go
swimming.
Had to put a pic of Juno because, look at this cutie, such a model *--* |
I started writing my first letters back in 1988, my first
penpal was a danish girl I met on a holiday in a camping in a town called
Palamós in the Costa Brava in Spain. The next summer I met some spanish girls
at the same camping and they also became my penpals, you know, back then the
internet didnt exist so we could not email eachother!
In 1992 I started looking for penpals actively thru music
magazines such as super pop, smash hits or Kerrang!, soon I had about 10 regular
penpals who i wrote to in catalan ( my mother tongue), spanish or english. I
also strated swapping Fb's (friendship books) and met a bunch of foreign
penpals that way.
After FB'S i also started swapping Slams and Decos.
There's few girls and a guy I have been writting with for
nearly 20 years, and have met a lot of my penpals in real life during trips, or
just had them over visiting. Always had awesome experiences meeting my penpals.
3- what you enjoy the most about snail mail and what you
dislike the most?
The real frienship that you develope with your penpals is
one of the best things about penpalling, listening and being listened.
What I dislike the most if when people stop writting without
even letting you know that they are just gonna drop you off.
4- would you change or improve something in your country’s
postal service?
I am very happy with the swedish postal system thank you!
the only thing I'd change is the price, its ridiculosuly expensive, but yet
again everything is very expensive in Sweden.
5- could you tell one of the most memorable or special
things you received so far?
Just lovely chatty letters from my pals are the best things
to get really.
6 -can you describe in one word the feeling of receiving
mail?
Happiness!
Thanks Raquel for share a little about yourself with us :)
Mucho Amor
