1-Talk a little about yourself .

Hi Virna, I am Prem, my name in Sanskrit means “love” and was given to me by my spiritual teacher many years back. It usually is a man’s name in India, but I like it anyway. It dosen’t matter especially with it having a beautiful meaning, well, who will care? Not me. I live in one of the cities of Los Angeles in Southern California. 

Olá Virna, Eu sou a Prem, meu nome em Sanskrit significa "amor e me foi dado pelo meu professor espiritual muitos anos atras. Geralmente é um nome masculino na Índia, mas eu gosto de qualquer forma. Não importa, especialmente se tiver um significado bonito, bem , quem vai ligar? Eu não. Moro em uma das cidades de Los Angeles no sul da califórnia. 

2-when, and how you got into snail mail?

   Quando e como você começou a se interessar por correio tradicional?

I have been collecting postcards since 2004 when one of my Dutch friends gave me sets of Van Gogh and Tulip postcards. I have been doing post crossing for many years now but I stopped my activities from their official website a few months after I found Instagram to be full of same minded people.

Eu tenho colecionado cartões postais desde 2004 quando um de maus amigos alemães me deu um kit de carões postais do Van Gogh e Tulipas. Eu tenho participado do postcrossing por muitos anos mais parei com minhas atividades oficias do site alguns meses atrás depois que eu descobri que o Instagran está cheio de pessoas igualmente com a mesma iniciativa.

3- what do you enjoy the most about snail mail and what you dislike the most?

     O que você mais gosta sobre correio tradicional e o que você menos gosta?

I like snail mail just the way it is. Nothing to dislike unless you have a lot of expectations, which I don’t have that much. I just let everything be.

Eu gosto de correio tradicional simplesmente do jeito que é. Nada para não gostar,amenos que você tenha muitas expectativas,  que eu não tenho muito. Apenas deixo as coisas serem como são.

4- would you change or improve something in your country’s postal service?

    Você mudaria ou melhoraria algo no serviço postal do seu país ?

Postal service in my area is doing great. The only thing I wish is that facility workers won’t scribble on stamps as a way of cancelling them. It pains me so much when I get a scribbled stamp. It ruins the purpose of putting on matching or beautiful stamps on your mail.

O serviço postal na minha área esta indo bem. A unica coisa que eu queria era que os funcionários não riscassem os selos como forma de cancela los . Me doí muito quando recebo selos rabiscados. Isso arruína o proposito de colocar selos bonitos ou que combinem na sua correspondência.

5- could you tell one of the most memorable or special things you received so far?

    Você poderia dizer uma das coisas mais memoraveis ou especiais que você já recebeu?

Every mail I get is special especially if I know that it’s been made and packaged with care and love. 

Toda correspondência que eu recebo é especial, especialmente se foi feito e embalado com carinho e amor.

6 -can you describe in one word the feeling of receiving mail?

    Você consegue descrever em uma palavra o sentimento de receber uma correspondência?

Happy. It’s called a happy mail for a reason after all.

Feliz. é chamado de correio feliz por uma razão afinal.

A haul ?

Today I'm here to make kind of a Haul of some of the stationery things I bought in Europe.
And, ohh, the stationery in Europe (deep breath)....
See, the thing is, here where I live, the stationery stores sell just office supplies, the basics: paper, those boring pens ,staples and usually nothing too cute and cool, except for when they have it for an absurd price.
So can you imagine how crazy I went whenever I was in a store with so many cute things? I wanted to get everything, yet I regret not have bought so many stuff I should ...like that little bag with birds stamps...
Anyway, I'm happy with what I purchased and I'm here to show you, shall I ?

Hoje estou aqui para fazer meio que um haul das coisinhas de papelaria que eu comprei durante minha viajem pela Europa.
E, ahh, as papelarias na Europa (suspiros)...
Veja bem, o que acontece é que aqui onde eu moro as papelarias só vendem artigos para escritório, o básico : papel, essas cantas sem graça, grampeador e geralmente nada muito fofinho e legal, exceto quando eles vedem isso por um preço absurdo.
Então você pode imaginar como eu ficava louca toda vez que eu entrava em uma loja e tinha tantas coisas fofas, eu queria levar tudo, ainda sim eu me arrependo de não ter comprado muita coisa que eu deveria, como aquela sacolinha fofa de carimbos de pássaros...
De qualquer forma, to contente com o que eu comprei e estou aqui para lhes mostrar, posso ?


Starting for this pencil case, well, I wanted one of those pretty leather ones but why they have to be so pricey??  I'm just a poor small budget traveler, so I got this that so far its making the job and I'm Happy with it .

Começando por esse estojo, bem, eu queria uma desses bem bonitos de couro mas por que que eles tem de ser tão caros??? Sou apenas uma viajante com um orçamento pequeno, então eu comprei esse que até então está cumprindo seu papel e estou contente com isso.

 I got those Faber Castell Pens, that I'm really enjoying . They are waterproof and really good to work with watercolors.

Comprei essas canetas da Faber Castell e eu estou curtindo muito. Elas são a prova d'água e muito boas para trabalhar com aquarelas.

I used some watercolor on it , thats the resoult :

I'm not sure if we can call those pens Dip pen, but yeah, it came with the ink to put on, and again, regretting not have bought the refill of it, now I have one more reason to get back to Europe :P

Não tenho certeza como se chamam esse tipo de caneta ( aqui onde eu moro chama de caneta tinteiras), mais são dessas que você coloca o vidrinho de tinta dentro, e de novo, me arrependo de não ter comprado o refil, agora tenho mais um motivo para voltar pra Europa :P

Nice brushes, but definitely not the best, ok for a non professional, beginner, amador "artist" like me .

Pinceis legais, mas definitivamente não são os melhores, são ok para uma "artista" iniciante, amadora e não profissional como eu .

Got those at the Louvre and Chateau de Versaille, those are Marie Antoinette hands holding the roses :)

Comprei esses no Louvre e castelo de Versille,  estas são as mãos da Maria Antonieta segurando as rosas .

How could I went to paris and get only ONE portcard??? I guess I was too impressed about all the rest that I forgot to get them hehe, oh and in any book store they have this really pretty 3d postcards with so many different pictures .

Como eu pude ir em Paris e ter comprado apenas UM cartão postal??? Acho que eu estava impressionada de mais com todo o resto que eu acabei esquecendo deles hehe, ah e em qualquer livraria eles tem esses cartões 3d com varias figuras diferente.

 Feeling so happy about my Moleskines :D The sketchbook one has a thicker paper and the Plain notebook its my travel journal, both make me feel very hipster :p

Estou me sentindo tão feliz com as minhas Mosleskines :D O sketchbook tem um papel mais grossinho e o Plain notebook é meu "diário de viajem ", ambos me fazem sentir -se muito hipster :P

And now for the wash tapes... how difficult was to choose among so many pretty ones. I got all in Swiss shops, but the pink one that I got in a German shop.

E agora para as wash tapes.... que difícil foi escolher entre tantas opções lindas. Eu comprei tosas em lojas suíças, menos a rosa que eu comprei em uma loja da Alemanha 

The pink one its fabric, and all have a really good quality :)

A rosa é de tecido e todas tem uma qualidade muito boa .

Well that was it. I really hope I can back in the good shops in Europe next time with more money and more decided haha. If you want more details in any of the products let me know in the comments :)
And do you guys think? Should I keep on doing ( making?) hauls ?

Bem, foi isso. Eu realmente espero poder voltar nas boas papelarias na Europe , da próxima vez com mais dinheiro e mais decidida haha. Se você quiser saber mais detalhes de qualquer um dos produtos me avisa nos comentários :)

Hello again, and incoming

Hello Everyone, how are you?

I'm doing very well. Just arrived last week from my vacation. I spent a month in Europe, and it was absolutely awesome! I really hope to get back soon :) And of course I was excited to check my mailbox, here's what I received :

Kate sent me this super cute letter, with traveling theme , oh makes me wanna pack again :P

She sent me one of my favorite tea, the English Tea Shop honeybush acai berry punch tea, humm :P

What tea do you guys recommend ?
